Mark has played the piano professionally for more than 30 years, building up a wealth of experience as a freelance performer, musical director, arranger, and lecturer. Musical directing and arranging clients have been as diverse as Faye Tozer of Steps, Japanese post-rock band MONO, and the BBC’s Gareth Malone.

Mark has extensive experience as a musical director for choirs and music theatre, including his very own Sing United company, Inspiration UK, and singing projects for BBC Newcastle and Metro Radio.

Mark also specialises in running singing and other music-related workshops including previous clients such as TedX, Sage Accounting, South Tyneside Council and many more. He has had multiple arrangements and orchestrations performed by the Royal Northern Sinfonia and the orchestra of Opera North, as well as Oulu Sinfonia in Finland.
