Previous musical arrangements can be hired for your group, either in their current form or modified to suit all line-ups and ability levels.
You will receive professionally created full scores and individual parts as required in PDF format, with the optional extra of vocal arrangements of MP3 recordings of each vocal line to assist with rehearsals and part learning.

During my career I have worked on a wide variety of arranging and composition projects. I have had numerous arrangements performed by the Inspiration choir based in Newcastle and Leeds, and before this Sing Live UK. These have included a diverse range of music from “I Wish” by Stevie Wonder, to the Kern and Hammerstein classic, “All The Things You Are”. I also created a particularly dramatic version of “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen, that received a rapturous response, and more recently “Army of the Dead / Crown and the Ring” by the Kings of Metal themselves, Manowar, including using the mighty pipe organ of Leeds Town Hall. For more information about hiring one of my arrangements for your group, please see the bottom of this page.
In 2008 I conceived a project that saw more than 300 singers and an orchestra back Tony Kakko of Finnish metal stars Sonata Arctica, performing my arrangements of two of his songs. I have also had orchestrations performed by the Northern Sinfonia, Opera North, and the orchestra of the Midland Voices choir. I was commisioned to provide some of the arrangements for the Disney Christmas Choral Spectacular at Euro Disney in winter 2012.
Elsewhere in my career I have written numerous a cappella arrangements for a range of vocal groups, and arranged countless songs for student performances during my work as a Further Education music lecturer. I have written personalised songs to order, and composed both piano and guitar pieces to commission. I also co-wrote the music for “Monopolise”, a musical by Alfie Joey, the well-known comedian and BBC radio presenter. See the Official Monopolise Site for more information.
As an example of my work for short film, please listen to my submission for the short film “Making a Killing” by Michael Ford (2011). This piece is entitled “As We Walk” and was created for use during the final scene and end credits.

If you have a project that you would like me to work on as an arranger, composer or musical director, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. I am comfortable writing for any instrumental line-up, from choir to orchestra, rock or jazz band to a cappella vocal group. You are welcome to be involved at every stage regarding musical style, direction and instrumentation etc, and I will strive to make sure that the finished product is exactly what you imagined. The finished work can be supplied to you as Sibelius score, PDF, and / or recordings. If I am unable to perform and record every instrument involved, then I will be happy to assist in putting you in contact with the performers that you need.
